Recorded Deed Notice Letters
Beware of solicitation letters titled “Recorded Deed Notice” attempting to provide you with a copy of your deed and property assessment profile for a fee. These letters are scams. Your attorney will provide you with an e-copy of your deed at the end of the deed preparation process. Companies send these to everyone who had a deed filed, using publicly available on-line land records for information.

These letters advertise their services in obtaining a copy of your Property Assessment Profile and Complimentary Grant Deed for a fee. Their “property assessment profile” is a comprehensive property report that provides information on your property purchased. These letters are not approved or endorsed by any government agency, and the offer being made is not on the behalf of any agency of the government.
Beware of this common scam. If you have any questions about your deed, or property, contact your lawyer for more information.
