Trademark Attorney: Trademarking a Phrase
 Can I trademark a phrase?
Can I trademark a phrase?
It is possible for a business to trademark a phrase in the same way that a product name or service name can be trademarked. The phrase will have to be used by the business for the products or services related to the business. In trademarking the phrase I would demonstrate, on filing the application, that the phrase is used as a way of branding the business’ products or services. This can be shown through how the product is sold or marketed by the business.
For a confidential conversation to discuss this and other intellectual property law matters, including filing for a federal trademark, contact attorney Stephen J. Reichert at 410-299-4959, sreichert@reichertlegal.com or by clicking here.
