List of Properties for Maryland Property Tax Appeal

www.reichertlegal.comIn preparing for an appeal the petition should include a list of comparable properties. These properties should be obtained by conducting an independent search along with obtaining the list of properties that the county intends to use at the hearing. If a written request is made at least 15 days prior to the hearing, the supervisor of the Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT) is required to provide a list of those properties. The department may charge a nominal fee for the copies and shipping.
